Submit your abstract and join the leading cross-disciplinary international meeting dedicated to the production methods, properties and applications of functional and lightweight porous/cellular metallic materials.
Call for Abstracts
MetFoam 2027 welcomes contributed and invited presentations across the field of porous metals and metallic foams. Manuscript submission is optional; contributed and invited papers are planned for electronic publication in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings book.

Science meets industry
MetFoam 2027 includes a dedicated Industry Day to strengthen collaboration between researchers, technology developers and industrial innovators.
Pre-register by 30 September 2026 to receive a €50 reduction from the final conference registration fee. Full registration will open later and will be completed together with payment.

Venue
MetFoam 2027 will take place in Budapest at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), on the Buda bank of the Danube in the heart of the city.

At the Danube
BME's traditional campus is located on the right bank of the Danube, close to central Budapest, public transport, historic sights, restaurants and hotels. Detailed room and conference access information will be published before the event.
